PAM Dual OFR to be released in 2024

We are excited to announce a new Potential Aerosol Mass (PAM) Dual Oxidation Flow Reactor. The PAM Dual OFR will extend the applications of our PAM OFR by providing the ability to study multiple oxidative aging processes in parallel within an integrated enclosure and electronics package, thereby enabling fast switching of instruments between OFRs and/or concurrent sample collection in both OFRs.

Some potential applications of the PAM Dual OFR include, but are not limited to:

  • Exposure of the same precursor(s) to two separate oxidants (e.g. OH radicals in OFR #1, NO3 radicals in OFR #2)
  • Exposure of different precursors to the same oxidant (e.g. OH oxidation of a-pinene in OFR #1 and OH oxidation of toluene in OFR #2)

Upgrade Your PAM OFR to a Dual

In addition to offering the PAM Dual OFR as a new system, we will also offer a plan for current Aerodyne PAM OFR users to upgrade from PAM OFR’s to PAM Dual OFR’s. Depending on the level of preliminary interest, we may also offer a PAM Triple OFR, though that is not guaranteed at this time.

Pricing for the PAM Dual OFR available in January 2024.

Pricing for the PAM Dual OFR will be available in January 2024. For approximate initial budgeting purposes, assume that the base price of the PAM Dual OFR will be in the range of 1.4 to 1.6 times the current base price of a PAM OFR. The final price will depend on other factors, including accessories that can be used with many PAM Dual OFR configurations (e.g. mass flow controllers) as well as accessories more suitable for a subset of configurations than others (e.g. a 3-channel ozone analyzer for a PAM Dual/Triple OH-OFR system).

Please contact us if you have questions about the PAM Dual OFR or if you’d like to receive a quotation with pricing and delivery timeframe when available.
