Chemical Ionization Mass Spectrometers

Aerodyne offers chemical ionization mass spectrometer systems that provide highly sensitive and highly selective detection of gas- and particle-phase organic species.  Chemical ionization is a soft ionization technique that enables molecular identification.

The Chemical Ionization Mass Spectrometer (CIMS) Trace Gas Monitor combines a chemical ionization source with a high-resolution time-of-flight mass spectrometer for quantitative detection of specific chemical classes in the gas-phase.

The Micro-Orifice Volatilization Impactor Chemical Ionization Time of Flight Mass Spectrometer (MOVI-CI-TOFMS) combines the CI-TOFMS with the unique Micro-Orifice Volatilization Impactor (MOVI) inlet that allows measurement of both particle-phase and gas-phase compounds.
